Tennis in Education
The ITA Assistant Tennis Coach Course has been designed to ensure that new ITA coaches are trained to the standard required to coach at Starter Level. This course introduces the coach to the specific technical and coordinative methods used by ITA to teach tennis within a park, school or "coach overseen" club environment. Students will be taught how to help young players develope the movement skills required to learn tennis and how to balance the traning programme to help them reach their full potential.Students will also be informed of the key issues within physical education philosophy and how to plan, prepare and deliver lessons that fit in with the National Curriculum. This course is essentilal to anyone looking to coach tennis in schools and is only available through ITA. Students will be expected to be a minimum of 15 years of age and be of a reasonable playing standard. They must complete written test papers, set tasks, and undergo general on court assessments throughout the course.

LTA licence credits apply to ITA courses and the
unique nature of the ITA Modular Syllabus
means that all of the courses we deliver can also be
taken individually or can build towards the
completion of a full ITA Professional Coach
Qualification.
To obtain an ITA qualification in modular format, an additional assessment day must be attended and passed at a cost of £100. This day must be booked on completeion of all 8 modules.
